The project, also called “Celtic Interconnector Project” is a joint project developed by Réseau Transport d’Electricité (RTE) from the French part and and EirGrid from the Irish part.
The project is also supported by the European Union’s Connecting Europe facility (CEF).
In order to monitor properly this project, RTE and EirGrid are mobilising a specialised consultant to provide Project Control services during all the project.

2019-01-14GF1 Interconnector Project — Marine Geophysical and Geotechnical Survey (RTE – Réseau Transport Electricité)
GF1 is a 100 MW High Voltage Alternating Current (HVAC) interconnector project between Guernsey and France, with one submarine cable along a 56 km route between transition joint bays (TJB) at l’Ancresse Bay (Guernsey) and Sciotot (Normandy, France).
Guernsey Electricity and RTE aim at procuring a marine survey contractor(s) to carry out a high-quality offshore and nearshore marine geophysical, ecological and geotechnical survey in 2019, along with associated reporting.

2018-11-08Marine Geophysical and Cable Tracking Survey – IFA2000 Interconnector Project (RTE – Réseau Transport Electricité)
IFA2000 is a 2000MW High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) interconnector running between UK and France, with 8 submarines cables installed by pair in 1986 along four routes of 46 km each from Sangatte to Flokestone. National Grid and RTE aims at procuring a marine survey contractor to carry out a high-quality offshore and nearshore marine geophysical and cable tracking survey in 2019, along with associated reporting.
