Guernsey Electricity and RTE aim at procuring a marine survey contractor(s) to carry out a high-quality offshore and nearshore marine geophysical, ecological and geotechnical survey in 2019, along with associated reporting.

Guernsey Electricity (GEL) operates and develops the Guernsey Electricity System.

RTE is the French TSO; it owns, operates and develops the French Electricity Transmission System.

The survey will comprise of the following activities:

— nearshore and offshore geophysical survey along the route, including, but not limited to: multi-beam echosounder and side scan sonar, sediment profiling, magnetometry; ecological survey on 500 m corridor and gradiometer (for UXO and archaeological detection) on a 200 m wide route-engineered corridor,

— nearshore and offshore geotechnical survey, including but not limited to vibrocore, cone-penetrometer and soil measurements,

— nearshore and offshore benthic survey.

Documentation and certification required have to be provided in English. In case of original documentation in other languages, translation into English should be submitted. List and brief description of selection criteria:

1) Ability to organise technical means and human resources in order to obtain geophysical data for submarine cable projects;

2) Ability to organise technical means and human resources in order to obtain ecological data for submarine cable projects;

3) Ability to organise technical means and human resources in order to obtain geotechnical data for submarine cable projects;

4) UXO survey and data processing expertise and proven track record in delivering ALARP certification with internal or external expertise;

5) Ability to carry out soil measurements from a laboratory;

6) Ability to communicate both in English and French;

7) ISO9001 (or equivalent) certification;

8) ISO14001 (or equivalent) certification;

9) OHSAS (or equivalent) certification.
