Technical Assistance to the Geothermal Development Unit of the Government of The Commonwealth of Dominica
In order to implement its geothermal development strategy, the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica (GoCD) will set up a Geothermal Development Unit (GDU). The purpose of this GDU will be to supervise and facilitate all activities related to the development of all geothermal resources in Dominica. Its activities will cover technical, institutional, financial and legal issues.
The objective of the consultancy is to assist the GoCD in setting up the GDU and supporting its team during its first years, thus building its capacity in a manner consistent with international best practice.
The consultancy will be implemented through a multi-year contract with the following specific objectives:
Setting up the GDU
Supporting the Roseau Valley Geothermal Reservoir development
Preparing for the subsequent geothermal development in Dominica
The services to be provided under the consultancy will include:
Permanent Technical Assistance to the GDU
Ad-hoc short term expertise
