Supervision Consultant for AFD/DFID Green mini-grid programme in Kenya
AFD is searching a Supervision Consultant for the implementation of a ‘Green Mini-Grids Programme’ in Kenya, funded by DFID.
This Programme aims at promoting private initiatives in green mini-grids improving access to electricity. This Green Mini-Grid Programme will make almost 30 000 000 GBP available for capital support to projects and/or technical assistance and market development activities. A Managing Entity will be recruited to implement this program, in collaboration with AFD.
The Consultant will be acting as Supervision Consultant for the Green Mini-Grid Programme for AFD Nairobi Office. The Consultant will be in charge of the daily follow-up and management of the Programme on behalf of AFD, to ensure a timely delivery of quality outputs of the Programme, as well as positive visibility of the Programme, in a view to maximizing its positive impacts for all stakeholders. For this purpose, the Consultant is expected to present a good expertise in the Energy sector, in particular renewable energy and access issues, to be based in Nairobi with all authorizations needed to work in Kenya.
