Supply 1 100% battery or Bi-mode battery/diesel shunting locomotive and supply or refurbish 1 diesel powered shunting locomotive for the purpose of Infrastructure Works Trains within the Eurotunnel Concession. Lot 1 Firm part: study, design, integration and supply 1 100% battery or Bi-mode Battery Diesel Shunting Locomotive. Optional part: Supply of 11 ‘100 %’ Battery Diesel Shunting locomotives. Lot 2 Firm part: study, design, integration and supply of Diesel shunting locomotive or to refurbish Schoma Locomotive from our current fleet. Optional part: To supply 6 Diesel locomotives or to refurbish Schoma Locomotives from our current fleet
Eurotunnel currently completes infrastructure maintenance activities in 100 km of tunnels using a fleet of 12 Schoma Diesel powered locomotives. With an objective of continued reduction of exhaust emissions and air-borne pollutants within the running tunnels during works the study, design, integration and supply of 2 shunting locomotives are required.
