Eurotunnel is taking advantage of its existing radiocommunications systems being updated by a GSM-R system throughout the Concession to replace its existing handheld radios (~900 ) . This fleet will mostly comprise OPHs, supplemented by GPHs for Eurotunnel management. These handhelds will be used by operational staff for maintenance and operational needs.Accessories such as additional batteries, multiple chargers and protective covers shall be included in the overall supply.Specific mandatory and optional requirements shall be included under the contract such as SMS usage, caller functional identity display, dead-man feature, parameterisation via maintenance unit, etc.This contract covers the supply, technical support for end-to-end integration in the project phase and 10-year parts and labour support (including a 3-year warranty). Options may be proposed such as headsets, etc.This contract must incorporate a delivery date for GSM-R handhelds and related accessories within a Q4 2014 timeframe.
