LOT 1 (Firm) : supply, delivery and installation of 1/3 existing valves + 15 % Viking Johnson pipe couplers
150 mm Diameter, Class 300, lugged firesafe metal seated butterfly valves with a WCB carbon steel body, ASTM A351 stainless steel disc EN 10088-3 stainless steel shaft and AISA 316 stainless steel seat with graphite packing, face to face dimension 70 mm, bare shaft. To suit existing Mastergear Type MZ / MZF operator gearboxes. All valves to come with material certs & to be warranted. To include all consumables to permit the installation Bolts & or nuts Washers joints etc.
Valves in 45 Cross Passage from a total of 135 Cross Passage. Exact location in Service Tunnel will be planned by Eurotunnel.

Replacement of existing firefighting valves in the Service Tunnel at the cross-passages.
To design & provide a temporary rolling By-Pass over a five cross-passage (5 CPs). Length of rolling by-pass Approximately 1.875 KM. This is to put in place to keep the fire system installation fully operational during the valves replacement process. The fire main supplies water in the event of an underground incident. This supply cannot be shut off for any reason what so ever, because of its in direct interface with the 4 “SAFE” stations (fire drenching & extinguishing stations in the running tunnels). The work sites are available & accessible 24 hr/7 days.
Access along Service Tunnel, through the work site, must be kept open, for emergency & maintenance vehicles during interventions on valves replacements, and bypass extensions.
Distance between 2 Cross Passage (access from Running Tunnel to Service Tunnel) of 375 m. 6 valves are concerned at each Southside CP (5 valves will be replaced with a new ones, one valve of those 6 will be removed and replaced by a spacer section only).
Valves in 45 CP are affected from a total of 135 CP. Exact location in Service Tunnel will be planned by Eurotunnel.
During the time that the valves are being exchanged the VJ Couplers on the linear line between CPs may be exchanged. Exact numbers and locations to be given by Eurotunnel.
Lot 2 (optional): - Optional supply, delivery & installation of 2/3 valves / 85 % Viking joints
Optional requirement: 67 % (for 90 Cross Passage)
Firefighting valves: for valves diameter 150 mm (qty: 495)
Closing spacers to be used for valves identified for removal but not replaced (qty : 90)
