Signalling assistance associated with rail replacement in the running tunnels
Under its maintenance plan, Eurotunnel is planning to replace the rails in the tunnels. The replacement programme will take place in 3 phases, i.e. during the first quarter of 2014, 2015 and 2016.
During each phase, 33 000 m of rails will be replaced according to a scenario chosen by Eurotunnel.
Signalling assistance covers the completion of the following work:
– Removal work prior to rail replacement.
– Installation work on completion of the rail replacement.
– Track circuit tests.
