Eurotunnel

The project consists in the restoration of the kinematic connections of the bogies (Breda freight shuttles and passengers shuttles, AMC and locomotives bogies) by replacement with identical or equivalent elastic articulations. Service of Installation and removal of the main parts supplied by EUROTUNNEL. Operations will be realized in the maintenance workshop in Coquelles in France.

The elastic articulations are employed in the case of movement by oscillation and/or swivelling of limited amplitude. They are primarily made up of metal parts to which adhere the elastomer parts. By their design, they remove the mechanical play and perform out a vibratory insulation of the high frequencies, their role being the reduction of wear, noise, and stress displacement.The mission consists of the implementation of the replacement of the elastic articulations currently installed on the bogies by new identical elements.This operation will be performed on the Breda freight shuttles:— On 442 bogies (205 carriers and 16 end loaders),— On the set of float material consisting of drive and control assemblies (renewing before the site mobilisation: remaining 24 drive assemblies and 105 control mechanisms/restoring to new at the end of the contract : 26 drive assemblies and 113 control mechanisms in total).This operation will be also performed on the passenger shuttles, AMC and locomotives bogies:— On 514 passenger shuttles bogies,— On 38 AMC bogies,— On 174 locomotives bogies.The mission will be carried out in the maintenance buildings on the EUROTUNNEL Site.The supply of the elastic articulations and all hardware necessary for the replacement of those elastic articulations will be provided by EUROTUNNEL.
