Replacement of the hot box and binding brake detectors
Replacement of the hot box detectors (DBCs) and binding brake detectors (DFSs) on the concession. These systems are intended to pick up any abnormal or dangerous overheating of the train axle boxes as well as any abnormal overheating due to a bound brake.
This system consists of:
— 8 measuring stations installed on the main tracks to measure the temperature of the above-mentioned elements and transmit it to the processing station,
— a central station, which warns the operative at the control centre that there is a malfunction and provides him/her with all necessary details so that the problem can be identified.
Lot 1: Design and installation of a measuring station.
Lot 2: Supply and installation the other 7 measuring stations as well as the central station; also, removal of the old ones.
These systems are physically installed in the running tunnels.
Projected schedule:
— Tender : November 2012 until march 2013,
— fulfilment:
Supply and works of first hot box/brakes applied detectors system: march to june 2013.
Test of the first hot box/brakes applied detectors system: june to september 2013.
Installations of the 7 hot box/brakes applied detectors system left:september 2013 to january 2014.
Test of the 7 hot box/brakes applied detectors system: january to march 2014.
— Starting date: 15th of march 2014,
— Old detectors removal: march, april 2014.
