The aim of the call to tender is to design, supply and install a new fire extinguishing system on Eurotunnel electric locomotives as it will be detailed in the technical specifications dispatched to tenderers after applications will be selected (criteria are given below).

Conditional Tranche: This phase concerns the implementation to all the locomotive fleet (56) of the design, supply ans installation of a new fire extinguishing system developed trough the prototype phase.

Firm Tranche: Prototype phase: This phase concerns the design, supply and installation of a new fire estinguishing system on one class 92 locomotive (designated as the prototype).

Conditional Tranche: This phase concerns the implementation on the remaining 5 other Class 92 locomotives of the design, supply and installation of a new fire extinguishing system developed trough the prototype phase.

This mission could be extended to more (up to 10) Class 92 locomotives of the total fleet. This extension will be managed as an option to the Conditional Tranche.

Design: Early 2013.

Prototype installation: Summer 2013.
