2 lots: 1) UK 2221: equipment hatch for hinkley point (England) new nuclear power plant (twin-reactor site): 2 equipment hatches for 2 units. 2) PE 2221: equipment hatch for Penly (France) new nuclear power plant (single reactor site): 1 equipment hatch for 1 unit
The scope of works for the proposed contracts includes:
1) UK 2221: studies, supply, qualification, manufacturing, and associated controls, delivery, erection, commissioning and on-site testing for 2 equipment hatches for 2 units at Hinkley point new nuclear power plant (twin-reactor site)
2) PE 2221: studies, supply, qualification, manufacturing, and associated controls, delivery, erection, commissioning and on-site testing for 1 equipment hatch for Penly 3 new nuclear power plant (single reactor site)
The equipment hatch is lined with a steel sleeve, which is closed by a large removable metallic cap, and fitted inside of the internal HR containment. It allows accesses of heavy pieces of equipment during construction stages.
